At Cookin’ Greens our Quality Assurance team works hard to ensure that from farm-to-freezer our dark-leafy greens are traceable and meet the necessary quality standards set by the Canadian, USDA , and Ecocert regulatory bodies where applicable.
Quality control starts at the seed. Throughout the crop gestation period, our farmers inspect their crops to meet their specifications. After harvest, the crops go directly to the flash-freezing facilities where acceptable quality level is confirmed prior to processing. After removal of loose soil and any sticks picked up during harvesting, they are washed, blanched, chopped and quick-frozen. The vegetables are then visually inspected several times through the process and undergo microbial testing by qualified labs to ensure adequate processing.
Once our dark-leafy greens have gone through these processes, they then make it into the bags you can purchase at your local grocery store.

Ecocert
What is Ecocert?
